This oil is used in conjunction with the Arkansas stone, in order to restore the sharpness and maintain in good condition the active part of dental instruments such as curettes or luxators.

It is recommended to apply oil to the Arkansas stone before sharpening, which will help remove metal particles and prevent them from accumulating. It also reduces the heat generated by the friction of the tool.
